(26) Mike Ewall | LinkedIn will lead this 2-hour course where students will gain an understanding of Sustainable Materials Management and Lifecycle Analysis and describe and compare models measuring GHG impacts from SRM. Students will learn about Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and the impact of more sustainable material management practices. The course will also summarize policies linking GHG reduction and increased reduction, recycling, and reuse.
By the end of this lesson, participants will be able to:
● Identify the fundamental principles and practices relating to SRM greenhouse gas emissions and reductions
● Identify market impacts for recovered products and material and the associated GHG reduction impacts
● Explain why communities are adopting community greenhouse gas protocols including SRM
● Identify tools and metrics to measure and compare GHG impacts to sustainable management programs
