Mr. Siminitus’ 8 year career in Waste Reduction has been focused on developing and implementing Zero Waste and organics diversion programs to reduce emissions and conserve resources. Using an information and data based approach to waste reduction efforts, Michael has worked to: establish baselines for new waste reduction programs, determine the composition of discards in a variety of waste streams, develop programs to effectively target recoverable resources, manage the recovery of materials at major events and thoroughly document this type of work for a variety of generators. While fostering collaboration between haulers, composters, clients, event planners, venues managers, as well as other public and private entities, Michael has managed a range of successful waste reduction projects with a wide diversity of clients.
